About

Our Mission

Inspiring greatness together, being second to none, developing future leaders while striving to be increasingly competitive at the DIVISION 1 level in Texas and continually improving every year.  We have a fun, uplifting, motivating environment.  We develop future leaders, inspired by phenomenal role models.

The Vipers Lacrosse Booster Club is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organized for and committed to the purpose of developing and promoting the play of lacrosse for young women.  It is also dedicated to the skill development of youth lacrosse players at the recreational level, in the Vandegrift High School attendance zone in Austin, Texas.  We unceasingly endeavor for academic success and good community citizenship.

Participation as a player with the Lady Vipers Lacrosse Club at the high school (JV and Varsity) level is limited to students currently enrolled at Vandegrift High School. Participation as a player in any of the Vipers Lacrosse youth programs is limited to residents in the Vandegrift Attendance Zone of LISD.  Although lacrossse in Texas is not a UIL sport, we abide by UIL and TGHSLL rules or bylaws. The TGHSLL is the governing body for women’s lacrosse teams at the high school level in Texas, southern Oklahoma and northwest Louisiana.  We are part of the Central District which covers Austin and San Antonio.  The two other districts include North District which covers Dallas/Fort Worth and southern Oklahoma and the South District which covers Houston and its surrounding communities.  Division 1 designates strong, well-established programs.  Division 2 designates newer, smaller or less developed teams.

The Club is committed to cooperation with the local lacrosse community through affiliation with the Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League (TGHSLL), Capital Area Youth Girls Lacrosse League (CAPLAX), and US Lacrosse.
